Experience Fuentesclaras and Avila accessible

So that all tourists can comfortably enjoy the city, an accessible route has been designed that connects the main monuments of Avila. The route starts at the Visitor Reception Centre, next to the Basilica of San Vicente, and runs through the garden of the same name until it reaches the Casa de las Carnicerías. Through the Puerta de los Leales or Puerta del Peso de la Harina we arrive at the Plaza de la Catedral, where the first church in Avila can be visited. A series of pedestrian and shopping streets start from this square. The route continues along Calle Alemania, Reyes Católicos and Comuneros de Castilla until we reach the Plaza del Mercado Chico, where the Ávila Town Hall is located. From here, in the area south of this square, it goes along Calle Caballeros, Plaza de Pedro Dávila, Calle Pla i Deniel, Plaza del Teniente Arévalo until reaching Plaza de José Tomé. Via Calle Don Gerónimo and Plaza de Adolfo Suárez we reach Plaza de Santa Teresa or Plaza del Mercado Grande, located outside the city walls, where the church of San Pedro is located. Next to the wall, we continue along the Paseo del Rastro until we reach the Puerta de la Santa or Montenegro gate, behind which we find the convent of Santa Teresa, where the route ends. In addition, the Visitor Reception Centre is also linked by an accessible route to the section of the wall known as Puerta del Puente, from which people with reduced mobility can access a part of the parapet that can be visited. Avila, a World Heritage City, works every day to ensure that its heritage is accessible to all. Currently, in addition to the city walls, the Cathedral, the Basilica of San Vicente, the Church of San Pedro, the Church of San Antonio, the Royal Monastery of Santo Tomás, the Royal Monastery of San Antonio and the Royal Monastery of San Antonio are all accessible monuments, the Royal Monastery of Santo Tomás, the church of the Convent of La Santa, the auditorium of San Francisco, the cultural space El Episcopio, the palace of the Verdugo family, the palace of the Deanes, the visitable warehouse of Santo Tomé and the Lienzo Norte Exhibition and Conference Centre.
