Walk along the Canal de Castilla, along its towpaths, the places where the pack mules pulled the boats full of wheat along the canal to the northern ports. Discover the jetties and locks of the most important engineering work of the Spanish Enlightenment. You can start the route just a few metres from our charming sustainable hotel. Cross the flat countryside and its palette of colours for 13 km along a well signposted route with 75 metres of gradient and along the way you will be accompanied by partridges, bustards and hares. The trail begins at the Ermita del Cristo de San Felices in Becerril de Campos, and legend has it that a devout woman used to walk this route until the release of her imprisoned son.
